Swinging by the house, he placed the several presents he had bought and freshly wrapped (there was more than one for each person) under the tree. Already a bit jittery, Law nearly ran up the stairs - taking them two at a time - as he crashed into his room to get changed.
He had to jump into the shower for a quick clean up since he smelled like hospital and that just wasn’t sexy. After changing into the suit he had worn for Thanksgiving (the one that had led to some… good times) he fixed his hair, tossling it with some gel to get that nice messy trademark look, and even added just a bit of eyeliner to bring out his golden eyes.
He looked nice… and although previously he didn’t really care much about appearances he loved the way Doflamingo looked when Law surprised him with a new suit or a new cologne and … just the way he looked at him - with all that love reflecting in his eyes… God he missed him right now.
He called a cab since Doflamingo had already driven over and they didn’t need two cars there. Paying the driver an extra couple of bills, he wanted to arrive in 20 minutes even though it was at least 30 minutes away.
Arriving, he nearly jumped out of the car but collected himself before entering. It was one of the high end restaurants in town and one that they frequented quite often (because he loved the cheesecake they served) - so often that the staff recognized and greeted them by name. Law was quickly ushered to one of the more private tables where Doflamingo was waiting for him.
Fuck. He… looked gorgeous - even more so than normal. Taking a few moments to take it all in, he walked over and leaned over, stealing a small kiss before taking his seat across the table from him. A small smile was on his lips but he couldn’t get rid of it.
“Hey…” Even his voice was dripping with love, “Oh.. where are the girls?” It suddenly dawned on him that they were short a few people. He had thought they would be joining them tonight…

He said, letting his gaze roam over Law’s body shamelessly before he looked into the doctor’s eyes. He had done that on purpose hadn’t him? A devious smirk tugged his lips whilst his eyes narrowed slightly.

At that moment the very few doubts he had disappeared and the voice in his head telling him that it was too soon shut the fuck up finally. A maître opened the wine they used to drink in that restaurant and another one placed the plates on the table. Doffy had ordered Law’s favourite dishes– because he definitely couldn’t wait to get to the dessert. He would let Law think that he wanted to get home soon since they would be home alone for a while.

He asked before he sipped from his drinks. A quite innocent conversation, but his eyes were fixed on Law. Oh, how he could hardly wait for the dessert that night..
